In 1895, the Lumiere brothers held the first commercial film screening at Salon Indien du Grand Café, Paris.
Considered the first filmmakers, Louis and Auguste Lumiere invented a device that used the camera and a projector to allow multiple people to view these movies. Using this device they set up cinemas and sent crews around the world to film different aspects of life. People loved it and it became popular. Though upgraded the roots of Hollywood extend back to this small commercial film screening in 1895
