CBS tells us that “Godiva will shut all its U.S. chocolate stores by March.” Sadly, Godiva decided to pull its physical presence from the United States and close its 128 physical stores. They will still sell their chocolate through online stores. If you want to go to a store though, you will have to fly to Europe.
Godiva refuses to mention how many people this move will put out of work. With over 100 stores, I doubt that number would be small. It seems that COVID has another victory against the economy. I hope the government starts letting us go back to shopping soon. I will miss these specialized chocolates.
