ABC News tells us a heartwarming story in “What to know about the DC restaurant feeding hundreds of troops in Capitol Hill“. In the backyard of the inauguration, restaurant owners noticed that the national guard and other forces needed food. They noticed that these men and women had to guard the capital, including sleeping on the floor.
They wanted to help, and what better way than feeding the hungry. They did what they could and provided food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When more restaurants wanted to help, they set up a link and a way to provide food. I’ll bet these people eat better than I usually do. In this time of struggle, seeing these acts of kindness restore kindness. Most just want to help and get through these dark times. Thank you for your service, all of you.
