Road Trip of History for High School

road trip

CBS tells about how a “Teacher goes on road trip to teach students from historical sites across the U.S.” A high school teacher of Advanced Placement (AP) History took advantage of virtual learning. She decided that since the children would not be in class, she would engage them differently. She went on a road trip.

Her trip consisted of various historical sites. Instead of just teaching the children and showing them photos, she filmed herself at these sites. Since the pandemic shut down regular teaching across the country, this teacher found a creative way to teach. She gave her students experiences they might not have otherwise had in the classroom. I wish she had been my teacher.
