CDC Wants Schools to Reopen

CDC

PBS News Hour says “CDC says strong evidence in-person schooling can be done safely“. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) finally gave an update to its guidelines regarding schools. They say that schools can safely reopen without first needing vaccinations.

Many people shared concerns that allowing younger children to go to school would raise the cases of COVID-19. Some teacher’s unions advocated for schools to stay closed until all teachers and most students received a vaccination.

Now the CDC says that with proper procedures Kindergarten to 12th-grade schools can reopen. They do not need to have the vaccination beforehand. I have to wonder if this will quiet the scared teachers. Also, I wonder if most schools will now start going back to a usual schedule.
