CBS News gives us the uplifting news of “Louisiana sanitation workers help police find missing 10-year-old girl while on their pickup route“. Two men in Louisiana received an Amber Alert the day before. The Alert mentioned a car to watch for and these two men kept an eye out while driving their garbage truck.
Luckily, they paid attention. On their route, they noticed a vehicle matching the description in the alert in a field. Thinking quickly the men pulled their garbage truck to block the car from going anywhere. Then they called the police. Their actions saved the little girl.
I agree that these men are heroes. I can only say to them, thank you. As a mother having my children taken scares me. It is nice to know that two amazing people took action to save a child. It gives hope. Thank you.
