Through Google News, ZDNet tells that “30,000 Macs infected with new Silver Sparrow malware“. Recently discovered by security from Red Canary, they found about 30 thousand macOS devices infected with a new malware named Silver Sparrow. This malware even has the ability to work on the newest apple M1 chip.

Despite the number of infected devices, the researchers do not know much about it. The researchers have not discovered how users received the malware. Nor do they know what it does. At this point, they know the malware uploads, then it waits for a command from the malware owner. The researchers have not seen the malware in action. Though they warn that this does not mean it will not cause damage. They also warn users to be careful as new malware emerges quickly.
