I love muddy buddies, puppy chow, whatever you prefer. A quick, easy, and delicious recipe, it makes a great dessert or snack. Granted I would not call it healthy, but if you have the self-control it works as a small treat. When I saw this recipe on the blog Your Cup of Cake, for reindeer chow, I knew I wanted to try it. I only made one change. Since I don’t like mint M&M’s, I used a toffee peanut flavor. I think any flavor would work well.
Review of Reindeer Chow
It was definitely muddy buddies. To mix the ingredients I had to get my hands dirty, but that more had to do with the small size of my bowl. My children loved to help out. They especially enjoyed eating what fell out of the bowl onto the counter. They learned that from their dad.
Quick and easy to make, I think it would be great for a last-minute dessert idea. I think the only ingredient not commonly in the cupboard is the cereal. It tastes great. My youngest keeps sneaking some from the bowl. My husband enjoys it though not his favorite. Versatile, I enjoy experimenting with muddy buddies.
