Child Marriage Banned in the Dominican Republic

child marriage

NBC tells us about a new law in the Dominican Republic in “‘Our girls and adolescents will be protected’: Dominican Republic bans child marriage“. A new law in the Dominican Republic bans child marriage. While this law helps, Rosa Eclarte from UNICEF feels that society’s view on child marriage needs to change. She encourages girls to find jobs rather than thinking of only marrying. I’m glad about the new law and agree that women should choose their own life. Women should choose to work or stay home without condemnation from anyone.
