Churches Receive a Slight Success

USA Today tells about “Supreme Court blocks enforcement of some California COVID-19 rules for churches“. California, in an attempt to stop COVID-19, made the rule that churches could not meet in person. They filed a suit claiming the rule unfair as they had large auditoriums that could hold hundreds of people.

The Supreme Court agreed that the state should not say no to any indoor meetings. They do say that the state can add caps to the number of people, within reason. A 25 people cap in an auditorium for 800 people would be unreasonable. Hopefully, more churches will start to have the ability to meet in person.
