PBS NewsHour tells about a special therapy in “Therapy dog Max helps people find the spring in their step“. For many people the therapy they’ve counted on to help them ended with the start of COVID. Many people had to adjust how they did therapy. One type of therapy that usually works better in person is animal therapy. Specially trained animals, usually dogs, can help protect and comfort people during struggles.
In this story, one particular therapy dog named Max helped many people. He helped a man with constant back pain and a little girl that had frequent seizures. They had to stop visiting in person for COVID. To continue helping Max and his owner decided to start filming his adventures. Over 200,000 thousand have tuned in for the adventures of Max and he has continued to help others.
