On April 8, 1966, Time posed the controversial question “Is God Dead?” on the cover with no picture for the first time.
In a bold move, Time Magazine printed a a controversial question, in a time where 97% of Americans believed in God. Using a black background the cover consisted of only the words, “Is God Dead?” As predicted, many people disagreed with this premise. It caused much controversy and debate. The author even received death threats.
According to the article, the author agreed that God had lived. He also believed that God had died. He felt God needed to die to start the apocalypse. The question now turns to you. Is God Dead? Did He ever exist? Personally, I know God lives.
