When police go searching, for one thing, they may find something else as well. This happened in the story told by CNN of “Stolen 400-pound playground slide found in a child’s bedroom“. In Washington State, police started searching for stolen car parts. As they searched one officer noticed the slide attached to a bunk bed.
According to the police, this slide matched the 400-pound slide stolen last year from a city park. Someone had cut off the top of the playground slide and painted it blue. The police charged the father of the child that sleeps in the bunk with possession of the stolen property. They also found the car parts but did not charge anyone. Still, all this makes me ask, how did someone steal a 400-pound slide, in the first place?
